First Interactive AS is a Norwegian technology and engineering company and was established in 2000. The company has spent 9 years developing a suite of advanced 3D real-time industrial software (analytical visualization and simulation software) that can be used in a multitude of industries.
First Interactive is partly owned by Aker Solutions since February 2008. Through the acquisition of its majority stake in First Interactive, Aker Solutions will help First Interactive extend the market potential of its step changing technology.
First Interactive focuses on and receives its main revenue stream from the drilling segment of the offshore oil and gas industry. By combining industrial software with engineering competences, the company is able to help the drilling segment tackle traditional high risk challenges in a new, more cost efficient and risk reducing way. First Interactive's solutions provide real content to the Integrated Operations concept.
